Vice President of Sales and Marketing - Jewelry Brand

Who we are: Almost 50 years ago this brand was started with the belief that jewelry is more than an accessory. Our jewelry is an outward expression of love, culture, and memories, and it's meant to be worn daily not stashed away in a box. We design and manufacture demi-fine Sterling Silver and 14K Gold jewelry at price points that are accessible to all. Locally we are synonymous with high quality, handcrafted jewelry that speaks to the architecture, traditions, and natural beauty of Louisiana. Now as we embark on the next 50 years our focus is on growth, expansion, and evolution achieved through collaborative thinking, teamwork, and authenticity.    

We are working towards expanding the brand nationally through multiple sales channels. This is a great opportunity for a proven leader in sales and marketing to help steer a legacy brand into the future.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Develop a sales strategy that increases revenue, elevates brand awareness, acquires new customers, and expands the brands' footprint
  • Manage all brands, distribution channels, and deployment of sales for the organization including retail, wholesale, and e-commerce
  • Develop and coordinate promotions, sales selling cycle, and methodology
  • Analyze and evaluate the effectiveness of sales, methods, costs, and results
  • Ability to manage sales strategies across multiple categories, brands, private label, and licensed products
  • Vast knowledge of the Wholesale Sales landscape including hands-on experience managing Wholesale representatives and Wholesale expansion
  • Drive the execution of an omnichannel marketing plan across branding, advertising, and social media assessing progress with benchmarks and metrics
  • Oversee all aspects of customer engagement including the planning and development of company marketing, and all existing customer communication
  • Supervise the preparation, issuance, and delivery of sales materials on time and under budget
  • Research and develop strategies and plans which identify marketing opportunities, evolving customer engagement patterns, and new project development
  • Direct and oversee the company marketing function to identify and develop new customers
  • Plan and coordinate public affairs, and communications efforts, to include public relations and community outreach
  • Represent the company at various community and business events to promote the company
  • Manage the sales and marketing team members’ daily activity and development
  • Recruit, train, supervise, and evaluate department staff
  • Establish and implement short- and long-range goals, objectives, policies, and operating procedures
  • Develop and manage sales forecasting, and marketing budgets
  • Work with department managers and corporate staff to develop a five-year business plan for the company

 

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications and/or business administration preferred
  • 7-10 years of senior executive experience, preferably in the fashion, beauty, or retail industries
  • Naturally curious and inquisitive with a creative mindset and analytical ability
  • A strong team player and self-starter - collaborative, proactive, and enthusiastic to drive teams to results 
  • Experience in planning marketing strategies, advertising campaigns, and successful public relations efforts
  • Experience in contracting, negotiating, and change management
  • Experience in structuring sales quota goals and revenue expectations
  • Ability to motivate teams to produce quality materials within tight timeframes and simultaneously manage several projects
  • Possess a high-level aesthetic acuity
  • Detail oriented with the ability to plan long term while managing short term objectives
  • Ability to participate in and facilitate group meetings
  • Exemplary written and oral communication skills with experience producing content for marketing collateral
  • Proficiency in MS Office and an in-depth understanding of today’s relevant social media, PR, and digital advertising tools
  • Work requires a willingness to work a flexible schedule, including nights and weekends when needed, and not take time off between Thanksgiving and Christmas
