VP of Sales - Luxury Fragrances

This position is responsible for developing and managing the sales strategy on behalf of International Cosmetics and Perfumes (ICP) brands – The House of Creed, Hanae Mori Parfums, Carven Parfums, and Beauty by Clinica Ivo Pitanguy Skincare. This person serves as the leader of the sales team and plays a key role in developing and implementing innovative and profitable sales strategies while effectively establishing and maintaining the Retail Partner relationships.  This executive role will also promote and maintain the intrinsic company culture that fosters the firm’s core values of: Transparency, Recognition, Accountability and Communication.

 VP Sales must live in tri-state area and work out of Manhattan office.  This role requires extensive travel in North America.

 CORE RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Works with Ownership to development strategy and execution of Sales Vision
  • Serves as leader for Sales Team and develops strong functional leaders
  • Responsible for structure, oversight and productivity of Field Management, Sales Operations, Sales Promotions, Retail, Boutique, Mexico/Cosper, Online Sales, Independent Boutique Sales and Secondary Channel
  • Manages retail partner relationships on behalf of company’s products and services while fostering lasting relationships 
  • Effectively negotiates terms and opportunities with retail partners on behalf of the company
  • Identifies and manage growth expansion possibilities (existing and new)
  • Sets specific seasonal and annual sales goals
  • Analyzes sales activity reports and implements key learnings
  • Works to ensure retail sales and productivity goals are met
  • Establishes manage and negotiate incoming revenue (Net Ship)
  • Oversees Brand Collateral budget and execution to the field
  • Travels to markets to analyze business, relationships, coach sales team on performance and productivity and to negotiate with retail stores on behalf of company
  • Continues to develop and implement reporting system and ensure compliance
  • Develops and facilitate Regional Sales Meeting
  • Directs team to ensure Field Compliance with sales policies and procedures
  • Develops strategy and implementation of New Door Opening Process including the design of brand soft shops, negotiation of space and location and Cap-ex budgets for Retail Installations
  • Collaborates with Marketing for seasonal plans with retail partners
  • Acts as a thought partner for all new programming (Customer Experience, Education, Training and Marketing)
  • Active participant on Executive Team to help drive the firm via leadership and high performance results
  • Embodies the firm’s vision to inspire our clients through beauty innovations and the narrative of luxury while championing company practices and culture 
  • Seeks to promote and cultivate the company and brand awareness with external partners

  REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Sales/Marketing, Master’s desired
  • 15 years relevant experience with beauty brand: preferably some in-house
  • Experience working in luxury sector a must; beauty of fragrance industry experience strongly preferred
  • Strong luxury retailer relationships
  • Possesses strong interpersonal and customer service skills with the ability to communication clearly and effectively
  • Full understanding of best retail business practices
  • Ability to analyze the business and identify new functional growth opportunities 
  • Strong negotiating acumen with clients 
  • Excels in collaborative work and thinking
  • Knowledge of North American market
  • Experienced in managing a team of 10 or more with strong HR background
  • Possesses knowledge of competitive products and markets
  • Exhibits awareness of best sales practices and methods
  • Demonstrates patience with reluctant or frustrated employees/partners
  • Expert with MS Office 
  • Possesses strong leadership qualities and the ability to manage + motive the team
