Trim Specialist - Missy Sportswear
Responsibilities:
Partner with design team to develop and manage trim
Partner with trim suppliers on development; follow through development and manage status of development.
Set up and attend Vendor appointments.
Work with vendors to present solutions to trim related issue.
Manage negotiations with vendors for pricing and ensure high quality partnership with vendors.
Organize and maintain trim library.
Drive effective and efficient communication with team and vendors
Manage the team’s History notes to trim suppliers, sending of trim cards, standard reference and color swatches for developments.
Comment on trim submits for color and quality
Issue vendor submits to design for approval and create bulk standard cards to be distributed to the team.
Responsible for maintenance of accurate tracking trim development chart, lead-time, price, and trim submit dates.
Manage uploading of trim information to PLM with accuracy.
Handle administrative duties i.e filing, archiving and consolidating of trims history, manage and track daily packages
Create and maintain Trim charts.
Responsible for creating seasonal trim boards.
Manage record/library of trim, packaging, color swatches and fabrics for all brands/styles per season
Facilitates the process by acting as communication liaison between design and production trim buyers
Demonstrate attention to detail and high level of accuracy when proof reading of trim details, tech packs and design information
Need to resolve trim related questions between suppliers, production and design departments
Work with design /sales/technical/production to execute final production trim sheets
Experience:
College Degree
At least 3 years of work experience with a focus on basic trim knowledge, trim types, finishing, apparel construction and good color sense.
