Trim Buyer

Contemporary ready-to-wear company is looking for an organized, detailed-oriented Trim Buyer to assist from pre-production through production.  Candidate will work closely with vendors/contractors, sales team, and production manager. This role requires strong organization skills and understanding of deadlines in a fast-paced work environment.

Responsibilities:

• Excellent negotiation skills
• Assist design and pre-production on all product label & tag development
• Issue PO’s
• Track development and production samples
• Prep and send out samples to buyers
• Daily update and maintenance of trim inventory
• Daily communication with vendors/contractors
• Highly organized
• Must be able to multitask
• Excellent follow-up skills
• Must work well with others in a close team environment
• Must be able to work with tight deadlines
• Conduct weekly meetings
