TECHNICAL DESIGNER, Bottoms - Relocation Assistance Provided

The Technical Designer coordinates and monitors the technical development process from design to production. This includes analyzing and reviewing merchandise for fit, construction and overall quality.

Specific responsibilities include:

• Lead fit sessions, analyze fit and accurately communicate corrections of assigned product area
• Develop product technical specification packages to communicate requirements for fit and construction from concept through to bulk production
• Establish, monitor and maintain fit, construction and workmanship standards for your product category and ensure consistency across all vendor and factory bases
• Create, update and utilize blocks and patterns to ensure standards are being met
• Provide technical expertise and support to cross functional teams on fit development and pre-production activities
• Competitive shop the market researching size, fit, construction techniques and labeling

Experience and Skills

• 6 years of technical or manufacturing experience
• Associate degree in a related field or equivalent work experience
• Technical design experience with bottoms is preferred
• Intermediate patternmaking skills are preferred
• A clear understanding of patternmaking/grading and how fabrics/trims affect the fit of the garment
• Be proficient in a PLM or similar product management system
• Must have proficiency and a clear understanding of adobe illustrator drawing tool and MS office software
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• High sense of urgency and ability to meet deadline
• Ability to relate effectively up, down, and across the organization
• Must be able to lift 5 lbs
• Job is based in the Buckhead office.
