SWEATER DESIGNER - ALMOST FAMOUS

Job Description

Almost Famous, a division under Steve Madden LTD, is seeking a detail-oriented and organized Sweater Designer to join our team!

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Sketch detailed flats and design presentation boards (CADs)
• Setup tech-packs including specs, construction details, technical sketches & more
• Communicate and follow up with factories and team members on product development design details
• Supports the designers throughout the development cycle from concept to production
• Conduct inspiration and trend research
• Attend fittings sessions for area of responsibility
• Sweater technical knowledge, including yarn, gauge & knitting techniques

Requirements:

• 4+ years of experience in Sweaters
• Bachelor’s degree in apparel design
• Must be able to work under pressure and in a fast paced environment
• Proficient in Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, and Excel
• Solid communication and interpersonal skills
• Proactive team player
• Good grasp on the technical aspect of Sweater construction, fit, and standard specs

Salary Range: The pay range of this position is $80,000 - $90,000. Actual salary will be determined based off candidate's skill sets, years of experience, and other job-related factors. This range does not include benefits such as health insurance, paid time off, 401K, and additional company benefits
