Sourcing Manager, Wholesale Value

Purpose: The Sourcing Manager is responsible for strategically sourcing and developing products to meet Wholesale Value requirements and company financial goals. Drive the product development and production process to achieve balanced allocation across suppliers, product integrity, costing, and delivery to meet wholesale financial goals.

Job Responsibilities

Core Accountabilities:

  • Manage the seasonal sourcing and development of products to deliver market sample line that supports Wholesale Value Merchandising and Sales Team by delivering products that meet design integrity, target costing, and lead-times.
  • Ownership of meetings to review costing options for seasonal style developments with cross-functional team consisting of merchant, design, materials, technical design.
  • Manage, coach, and develop direct report – sourcing assistant(s) for the wholesale area.
  • Responsible for order placement to suppliers which includes all cost negotiation, final delivery, seasonal shipment summary and procurement data across systems.
  • Identify opportunities and make recommendations for improved workflow efficiencies with vendors/factories, mills, and business partners.
  • Communicate daily with cross functional teams and vendors regarding all issues pertinent to costing, lead-times, and delivery of wholesale product, throughout development and production process.
  • Responsible for negotiating, validating feasibility, and enforcing time and actions for work in progress calendars from suppliers to meet deadlines.
  • Ability to effectively communicate and cross-collaborate within wholesale teams (product development, design, production, merchandising, sales, planning, etc.)
  • Responsible for costing and procurement data integrity across multiple systems.
  • Role requires daily email communication with suppliers and overseas production office.
  • Able to handle difficult situations and flexible to work through change
  • Travel overseas to factories may be required based on business needs.
  • Perform such other duties as directed by the supervisor

Qualifications

  • 5+ years experience in product development, sourcing, production, preferably in wholesale with Apparel, Gear, Footwear, or Accessories
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Attention to detail and deliver results on short-timelines
  • Expertise in MS Office applications; intermediate to advanced Excel
  • Demonstrated ability to work in a multi-cultural environment
  • Strong problem solving and negotiating skills
  • ERP and PLM system experience. SAP preferred
  • Adhere to regular in-office presence, including to engage in in-person team interaction, meetings and collaboration. Job duties may be performed effectively using the hybrid work program designated by the company.
  • Hybrid schedule is 3 days per week in-office, working from the Seattle HQ (located in SoDo) and as business requires
  • Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor as the company retains the right to change duties to this position.
  • Must have authorization to work in the United States.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards.
  • Ability to maintain regular and timely attendance consistent with the ADA, FMLA, and other federal, state and local standards and Company’s policy.
  • Ability to remain in a stationary position for up to 8 hours per day
  • Ability to constantly operate a computer, other office equipment and look at a monitor for up to 8 hours per day
  • Ability to clearly and accurately communicate and exchange information verbally, in writing, or through other means in person, telephonically, or through virtual communication methods
  • Ability to position self to reach at or below shoulder level

The salary range for this position is $75,000 to $93,000 annually. Pay is based on several factors, including but not limited to position offered and work experience. In addition to your salary, SPARC Group, and its affiliated brands, offers a benefits package, including 401(k) plan, overtime pay, flexible work schedule and a generous employee discount program (all benefits are based on eligibility).
