Assistant Technical Fashion Designer (Apparel)

We are a growing vertical Ladies and Kids apparel company seeking passionate individual with knowledge of the Technical Design process and product construction. The individual should have expertise in woven/knit fabric and knowledge of fabric and trims. 

SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE, AND ABILITIES

• Skilled in fitting ladies and girls garments for assigned product categories.
• Would be responsible for creating and updating tech packs for products.
• Receive PP samples from vendors to take measurements and ensure they are production ready.
• Should be able to do virtual fits with factories.
• Basic understanding of pattern making, draping, measuring, garment construction, grading, and factory production
• Must have technical knowledge and ability of writing accurate garment specifications and communicating fit and construction details to vendors
• Knowledge of fabric and trims.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Organizational and planning skills with a sense of priority for deadlines and attention to detail
• Ability to navigate in a fast paced, team environment.
• Ability to openly embrace changes dictated by market conditions

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

• B.A. Apparel Design, Pattern making or Apparel Engineering, or job related equivalent
• 1-2 years of experience in Technical Design, and at least two other proficiencies: pattern making, product engineering, garment construction or pattern grading.
• Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, MS Outlook, MS Excel, MS Word.
