Senior Manager Manufacturing - Metro Memphis

Key Skill Requirements:

  1. Experience working with Active Wear, Scrubs and Sportswear categories from Vietnam, China, Cambodia, Bangladesh, Kenya, Ethiopia, Madagascar, India, Sri Lanka and Haiti.
  2. Experience analyzing competitive cost.
  3. Follow Up on vendor on-boarding process.
  4. Organizing and tracking vendor samples, trim approvals and vendor corrective action plans.
  5. Vendor capacity monitoring abilities.
  6. Functions as a coordinator/liaison between Quality, Tech Design, Sourcing and Planning.
  7. Fabric and Trim liability management.

Overall Accountability will include but not limited to;

  1. Instituting manufacturing best practices at the factory levels to improve manufacturing excellence;
    1. Pre-production readiness to adhere to the Time and Action Calendar.
    2. Perfection of Quality in product output, especially for Product Launch programs.
    3. Improve speed and flexibility in production via manufacturing and work-engineering techniques.
    4. Capacity Optimization;
      1. Integrating with the Planning team and the factories to ensure offered capacity is matched and optimized with sales demands.
      2. Counter balancing capacity with the risk profile and diversification objectives.
      3. Production Performance to deliver;
        1. On-Time-In-Full
        2. Right First Time Quality adherence
        3. Shipping Accuracy
        4. Innovation and Insights

Other Skills:

  1. Strong analytical skills with knowledge of advanced MS Excel
  2. Product Technical aptitude.
  3. Team Player and strong coordinator/ collaborator.
  4. Strong written, spoken communication and presentation skills.
  5. Knowledge on fabrics and trims for apparel.
  6. Results driven, positive attitude and self motivated.

Expected Hire Date: September 2020.

Experience: 12+ years in Apparel Manufacturing/Sourcing/Planning.
