MERCHANDISE ASSISTANT
Position Overview:
The Merchandise Assistant will be working closely with the Merchandising and Buying teams. Includes creating and monitoring purchase orders, assisting with the creation and distribution of weekly sales reports and more. This role requires organization, strong Excel skills, the ability to pick up on new systems, and communication with all cross-functional teams and external partners.
Responsibilities:
- In charge of purchase order lifecycle
- Provide weekly and monthly reporting and sales analysis
- Detailed order entry
- Display strong proficiency with Microsoft Excel (utilizing functions such as vlookups and pivot tables)
- Communicate regularly with vendors
- Track shipments, deliveries and transfers, discrepancies
- Ensure timely delivery of merchandise through communication directly with buyer, merchant teams and external vendors
Qualifications:
- Proficient in Excel (v-Look ups, pivot tables)
- Experience within a retail or fashion role
- Effective verbal and written communication skills
