Sales Assistant - Luxury Women's

Position Overview

Repeat Cashmere, a luxury European Women’s knitwear company, is looking to hire a Sales Assistant to join our NY Showroom. This position will be responsible for providing support directly to the US Sales & Operations Manager and liaising between the New York corporate office & showroom and our West Coast showroom.

We are specifically looking for an individual who is eager & ambitious, an individual with a good work ethic and a willingness to get involved in all the day-to-day responsibilities of keeping our office & showroom running. Our team is small & the ideal candidate will bring a positive outlook to our intimate office, is a team player with a willingness to get involved and assist in all activities of the office/showroom and works well in a small setting. This position will provide great experience for any candidate looking to enter the wholesale sales industry, as well as potential for growth within our US company. 

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

• Daily office & showroom maintenance
• Manage phone calls, messaging and emails between wholesale & retail customers; respond to basic requests for information as necessary
• Provide support on follow up to sales meetings and tradeshow/market appointments
• Execute additional administrative tasks as needed
• Sales calls & appointment scheduling
• Manage and maintain seasonal sample collections
• Maintain and coordinate showroom for appointments and market
• Assist sales team in showroom during market appointments, as well as at major tradeshows
• Order follow-up and order entry
• Communicate with customers on purchase order updates
• Check orders for accuracy
• Tradeshow preparation & participation us required

Experience, Skills & Knowledge

• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent in related field
• 1 – 3 years related work experience
• Exceptional organizational and analytical skills
• Strong written and verbal communication skills (answering and making calls to clients and stores, answering and directing calls)
• Strong follow up skills (organized and extremely efficient with fast paced correspondence)
• Interest and basic understanding of luxury fashion
• Must be able to multi-task
• Positive attitude & a team player
• Proficient in Microsoft Word & Excel, Mailchimp, Exchange, etc.
• Impeccable customer service
• Must be flexible to work extended hours when required during peak periods
• References required
