Sales Assistant

Position Summary

Assist Sales team in all aspects. Preparation for sales/buyers meeting.  Highly motivated self-starter with great organization and customer service skills.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Organization of samples neatly organized daily
  • Merchandising the line/steaming before important appointments and market weeks
  • Sending out market samples for style meetings and logging samples out on styles out board
  • Following up with accounts to receive market samples and return back in the same day
  • Make AD sample request within 48 hours of when a new order is submitted check with account executive if AD samples are needed or not update sample list and send to appropriate production contact
  • Check samples that come in against the appropriate account, logging in date received and date sent out
  • Check all samples for damages/irregularities, take pictures for the master of each different style, steam and hang appropriately show the appropriate account executive
  • Keeping a log of all AD samples physical and electronic log of everything that goes out
  • Go backs that need to go back to the warehouse, no racks are to be kept in the aisles
  • Creating line sheets regularly whether they are notes or an order
  • Keep all the Sales Director books updated all new orders, confirmations, and changes
  • Check OC’S and PO’S for accuracy as they are issued to you
  • Make sure everything is in order one day before an appointment with a customer
  • Change all hangers to black velvet
  • Steam perfection
  • Ensure the Showroom is clean
  • Inventory
  • Market Calendar update as emails are sent from Daniel Rainn and DR2
  • Learn about the merchandise that is being sold
  • Prepare or order lunch and drinks for buyers, if applicable

Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities)

  • Strong Communication Skills
  • Strong time management skills
  • Awareness of discretion and confidentiality
  • Weekly store selling
  • Organization of samples

Salary is negotiable
