About the Job:
The Systems Engineer will design, implement, administer, troubleshoot and develop server, email and
resources to meet company and departmental goals and standards for availability, capacity and security. The primary role for this position will be to work closely with the IT security team to discover, analyze and remediate security vulnerabilities across all infrastructure systems and to work with crossfunctional teams to ensure successful remediation of other systems. This role will also support the effort of maximizing uptime of enterprise server systems and their interfaces to the user community. It also provides for ongoing maintenance and provide tier-three support to help resolve client issues.

A day in the life, what you’ll be doing:

  • Maintain and support Microsoft Windows servers in a 2012 Active Directory domain.Manage and maintain Anti-Virus and Anti-Malware solutions for the Enterprise..
    • Test, evaluate and implement server software, patches, updates and upgrades
    • Analyze monthly security scans and remediate vulnerabilities as needed.
    • Monitor servers and related services and technologies.
    • Review, modify, and remove user accounts and permissions
    • Review activity logs for anomalous activity as needed.
  • Maintain Enterprise Server environment including:
    Monitor the Enterprise email systems and communication platforms.
    •  VMWare ESX 6.5+
    • Citrix
    • SFTP and other enterprise applications
  • Maintain accurate and current documentation of all procedures performed and create reports as needed.
  • Provide level three support for the Support Services, Desktop Services and Store Services Groups in order to resolve client issues in a timely manner.
  • Assist in SAN Administration.
  • Participate in on call rotation.
  • Other duties as assigned

What it takes to Join:

  • In-depth knowledge of Microsoft server operating systems in an Active Directory environment, with minimum three years of practical technology experience.
  • EMC SAN experience.
  • VMWare experience.
  • Experience with Tanium, Cyberark, and other system management tools.
  • Strong troubleshooting, interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
  • Appropriate temperament and knowledge to assist with on-call user support.
  • Retail experience preferred.
  • Linux experience is a plus.

Salary Range: ($74,882 – $94,194)

  • Required to travel in elevator or stairwells to attend meetings and engage with associates on multiple floors throughout building.
  • Hotel, Airplane, and Car Travel may be required.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work:

This is a full-time position. As a National Retailer, occasional evening and/or weekend work may be required during periods of high volume. This role operates in a professional office environment and routinely uses standard office equipment.
