PRODUCT DEVELOPER - Contract Print

We are currently seeking Product Developer - Contract Print  to join our team of outstanding employees!

POSITION OVERVIEW

The Contract Print Product Developer will play a key role in facilitating the execution of product that meets both the standards of the designer and customer, while maintaining brand integrity.   Collaborates frequently with both internal and external departments to ensure that all required tasks for product execution are completed within the expected time frame.  The Product Developer will be expected to become a subject matter expert in screen printing techniques, as well as educate internal teams on best practices as it relates to execution.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Must be a problem solver with the ability to identify solutions and create new processes
  • Must be a multitasker that is deadline oriented, with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects with overlapping deadlines
  • Must have very strong organizational skills
  • Must be a team player
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills are required
  • Must be able to work in a fast paced environment, have a strong sense of urgency and follow-through
  • Ability to build relationships with internal and external partners at all levels
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Photoshop and the ability to learn new computer systems quickly (PLM)
  • Must be able to work independently on designated styles starting from initial request through production approval
  • Coordinate closely with team members, factory counterparts, and other departments within the company on each style, from development through production
  • Screen printing knowledge is preferred, but not required
  • Pop Culture knowledge is a plus

ESSENTIAL DUTIES INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO:

  • Creating and maintaining Technical Packages for screen printing (potential india to help out)
  • Requesting samples from screen print factories
  • Communicating with factory counterparts on any questions regarding sampling (sometimes after hours)
  • Approving strike off images from screen print factories (sometimes after hours)
  • Conducting follow up to obtain licensor approval for production (collaboration)
  • Verify that all licensed development entering sampling has been Concept Approved by the brand owner
  • Maintaining all open sampling for designated accounts
  • Educating development and sales team on each factory partner, their resources, and their strengths
  • Managing the distribution of new samples to design, brand management, & sales teams
  • Delivering comments against new development samples to factory counterparts as needed
  • Visit or work with vendors to identify their new development, and understand operations
  • Managing workflow, prioritizing, and consistent follow through with factories on sampling and counter sampling.
  • Ensuring that the factory is sending daily sample shipment information, including tracking numbers
  • Ensuring that print comments from sample review are recorded and communicated prior to submission to Licensing team. This should include providing suggestions on any samples that have not been successfully executed
  • Partnering closely with purchasing to procure sampling blanks and conducting necessary follow up with factories to provide BPO and tracking # of sample blanks.
  • Assisting in answering approvals in the event that a tech is absent or away from their desk. This will also include after-hours approvals.
  • If any seps are updated on factory level or with seps team, the developer will update in PLM
  • Ensuring all contractual samples are correctly submitted in the time required. If corrections need to be made to contractual samples. Developer to ensure this is done in a timely manner

EDUCATION

  • Bachelors degree is preferred, or a minimum of 2 years experience
