PLANNING / STORE PLANNING - INTERN

Overview

This Internship role will work with both the Planning and Store Planning departments

  • The Store Planning team is responsible for the strategic direction of inventory on the location level based on analysis of historical data and current trends. Store Planners work closely with RVPs and DMs, Stores, and Allocation to identify and react to business and store trends.
  • The Planning team is responsible for the strategic direction of inventory based on analysis of departmental financials, historical data, and current market trends. They manage inventory through the use of various merchandise reporting tools, ensuring top sales are being met. Planners work closely with Merchants and Allocators to identify and react to business and store trends.
Responsibilities
  • Run, publish, and analyze various weekly and ad hoc Merch and Store Planning reports.
  • Maintain Excel spreadsheets and weekly/monthly reports.
  • Attend regular meetings with the planning team to discuss business strategies and opportunities.
  • Take part in weekly call with Regional Manager and respond to callouts from the field.
  • Manage special projects for area of responsibility.
  • Partner with Merchants, Allocations and Merchandise Control.
  • Perform such other duties as directed by the supervisor
Qualifications
  • Must be available June 3rd, 2024- August 23rd, 2024 for 40 hours/week
  • Relevant coursework in planning or related field.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office; specifically strong excel skills.
  • Strong organizational and analytical skills.
  • Ability to prioritize, track and complete multiple and competing priorities.
  • Ability to multitask effectively and work on own initiative in an extremely busy environment where constant reprioritization is required.
  • Strong communication (written & verbal) and interpersonal skills.
  • Mathematical aptitude.
  • Detail oriented individual.
  • Adhere to regular in-office presence, including to engage in in-person team interaction, meetings and collaboration. Job duties may be performed effectively using the hybrid work program designated by the company.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor as the company retains the right to change duties to this position.
  • Must have authorization to work in the United States.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards.
  • Ability to maintain regular and timely attendance consistent with the ADA, FMLA, and other federal, state and local standards and Company’s policy.
  • Ability to remain in a stationary position for up to 8 hours per day
  • Ability to constantly operate a computer, other office equipment and look at a monitor for up to 8 hours per day
  • Ability to clearly and accurately communicate and exchange information verbally, in writing, or through other means in person, telephonically, or through virtual communication methods
  • Ability to position self to reach at or below shoulder level
  • Carrying equipment, move boxes/samples, etc. when necessary
