PLANNING MANAGER - Fashion Brand

You’ll work in tandem with the Merchandising team to develop and execute assortment plans using historical data analysis. Your goal in all this—to achieve (or exceed) company sales objectives. This is a high-level role where you’ll oversee sales, planning, forecasting, buying, sell-through, and marketing initiatives. Who is our ideal candidate? A highly proactive natural leader who thrives in a fast-paced environment and loves fashion just as much as they love data analysis.

You will:

  • Identify potential sales opportunities that align with annual sales growth

  • Develop, execute, and communicate strategic merchandise plans and strategies that align with merchandise goals

  • Develop seasonal plans in collaboration with planners and merchandisers at the style, class, and category level

  • Manage sales data and inventory at the SKU level for distributors

  • Communicate seasonal merchandise flow strategies that maximize sales

  • Build a relationship and collaborate with merchandising to ensure accurate forecasting

  • Participate in cross-functional initiatives to develop new processes and systems

  • Act as a guide and inspirer to the team

You need:

  • Bachelor’s degree

  • At least 5-8+ years of retail planning and merchandising experience with expertise in planning processes, analytics tools, and managing a planning organization

  • Experience in a leadership/management role

  • Experience in footwear planning

  • Advanced proficiency in Excel, SmartView, and Tableau

  • Highly strategic and analytical approach

  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment with shifting priorities

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Meticulous attention to detail and organization
