MERCHANDISING WEB ADMINISTRATOR

Overview:

The Merchandising Web Administrator facilitates batch processing of collegiate garment decoration art, using our data-driven graphics system. This position ensures the resulting art-to-garment pairings meet company quality standards, institution licensing requirements, and matches requested details from our partner direct-to-consumer web sites as well as facilitates the hand-off of projects to the Gear For Sports Licensing team for approval, and releases to our partner web sites. The Merchandising Web Administrator bridges the worlds of company graphics standards, licensing requirements, Pulse art Engine capabilities, and decoration options by garment style. Additionally, this person is responsible for uploading and organizing the departments’ product catalogs and art collections used by sales representatives and internal users. This role works alongside the Merchandising Web Admin Lead and Graphic Systems Manager.

Responsibilities:

  • Ensures the setup and completion of projects requesting specific art-garment pairs for a list of collegiate institutions
  • Evaluates images from the Dynamic Art Generation (DAG)tool for esthetics and compliance with institution-specific requirements
  • Assists with verifying institution data (verbiage and colors) via GFS order history and web research
  • Organizes and works with a large volume of data
  • Helps manage aspects of the Dynamic Art Generation (DAG) tool, StyleMaster database, Art Template database, and ECOM Sales Catalog database.
  • Periodically interacts as part of the IT team testing and trouble-shooting various DAG tool applications.
  • Periodically uses Adobe Illustrator to setup new DAG templates files with specific element naming and organization.
  • Shares in other department responsibilities, including the upload and organization of catalog and art collection PDFs to our sales rep-facing web site.
  • Coordinates with Graphic Systems, Sales/marketing, brand and graphic design teams to refine general requests into specific project assortments for each requested school/institution
  • Develops the ability to apply team color stories across art and product assortments, working with the Graphic Systems, Graphic Design, Brand and Licensing teams.
  • Develops a strong knowledge of decoration options across our brands and products
  • Verifies school-specific licensing requirements by referencing our institution database
  • Joins daily team video calls for project updates and trouble-shooting
  • Communicates effectively via email with the Graphic Systems, Graphic Design, Brand and Licensing teams

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor degree in graphic design, marketing, apparel, business, or equivalent experience
  • One to two years of licensed product/fanwear experience related to graphic design, art or licensed product proofing preferred
  • 2-3 years of experience in graphic arts/graphic design preferred
  • Mastery of Macintosh computer and graphic design software (Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop)
  • Understanding of basic graphic art concepts such as composition, color relationships and balance
  • Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office Excel and Outlook.
  • Previous experience or knowledge of team graphic esthetics and restrictions, a plus
