Product and Market Research:

  • Support merchandising team in determining product strategy, assortment and launch of new products
  • Conduct competitive analysis across all categories in the Juvenile market including store visits and deep dives into product reviews online to provide consumer insights
  • Create and present reports to team with recommendations for feature sets and price points based on research
  • Coordinate consumer research including surveys, focus groups and in-home studies
  • Manage consumer recruitment tool for product testing
  • Research global juvenile trends and innovation and provide team with recommendations

Marketing Support:

  • Support team of marketing managers with a focus on consumer, trade, and international efforts
  • Act as liaison between brand and agency partners; fulfill sample requests, image requests, and product information
  • Social media support - moderation of fan reel images, generating unique links through tracking software for Facebook, Instagram, Pinterest and other potential channels. Support growth and expansion of brand across platforms
  • Key account support for product set ups, image uploads and copy submissions
  • Edit and adapt copy for select web, catalog, and collateral material
  • Support sales staff with giveaways, new product information, and special releases

Internal and external meeting support:

  • Maintain showroom, track and prepare all samples for both internal and retail buyer meetings
  • Manage sample inventory and promo materials - send samples, signage, and occasionally preside over company events at trade shows, retailers, and consumer events
  • Capture and distribute weekly meeting and strategy notes

Cross-functional team communication:

  • Act as a liaison with design, sales, planning and marketing teams
  • Keep everyone informed of key decisions in order to keep business moving forward
  • Assist Creative team at photo & video shoots

Experience and Skills

  • Excellent communication and written skills, with ability to communicate with external customers
  • Superior project management and organizational skills
  • Problem Solving: Identifies and resolves problems in a timely manner; gathers and analyzes information skillfully
  • Resourceful and solution oriented
  • Ability to work closely with cross functional teams (i.e. creative, sales, merchandising, product development)
  • Knowledge of Excel, Word, PowerPoint; Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop a plus
  • Team player and willingness to support
  • Seeking degree in merchandising, public relations, marketing or related field
  • Minimum cumulative GPA requirement of 3.0 (3.2 strongly preferred)
