MAINTENANCE MANAGER

We are working with a growing, US owned, 50+ year Textile Manufacturer has multiple sites across the Southeast and Northeast. They mostly produce yarn, upholstery, and industrial textiles and have an excellent reputation in the marketplace along with some of the most recognized brands in their industry. Quality company with Quality people and solid benefits. The company is looking for a Maintenance Manager for their facility in Northern North Carolina. These facilities produce products for their market-leading and globally recognized brands/products. This position will report to the Plant Manager.

Job Purpose:

  • Manage and coordinate Maintenance efforts to protect and improve our product and manufacturing performance

Major Accountabilities/Essential Duties:

  • Oversee/Direct Maintenance
  • Participate in scheduled meetings with internal and external customers, raw material suppliers, machinery and mechanical component vendors
  • Travel to represent the facility
  • Strategically plan maintenance efforts and oversee execution for safety, quality, and productivity
  • Keep abreast of new technologies and strategies for maintenance
  • Act as a resource and or lead when atypical problems or issues arise for maintenance
  • Develop, coach, maintain staff and all other direct assigns using internal and external resources

Minimum Requirements:

Education:

  • 4-year degree in textiles or related degree for maintenance preferred but not required.  Relevant Maintenance supervisory experience will be considered in lieu of degree

Experience:

  • Four years of increasingly responsible positions within a textile manufacturing facility with areas of responsibility encompassing maintenance and or quality functions, and or acceptable combination of education and experience
