JUNIOR ALLOCATOR - American Designer Brand

Our client is a growing American designer brand with over 120 domestic retail locations and rapidly expanding internationally. The Junior Allocator will support their departments' specific merchandising and planning strategy with their ability to thoughtfully distribute and replenish inventory. The ideal candidate will thrive in a fast-paced environment and be eager to join a well-oiled machine!

Salary/Hourly Rate:  $16-22/hr

Position Overview:  The Junior Allocator will be responsible for distributing/replenishing inventory and will have the ability to quickly respond to pressing business needs. In addition, the Junior Allocator will work closely with Merchandising, Planning, and Finance Departments to execute merchandise planning strategies and meet company financial objectives. The candidate must have experience managing initial inventory deliveries, developing replenishment strategies and meeting margin goals. They are open to candidates with backgrounds across all categories (apparel, accessories, shoes, etc).

Responsibilities of the Junior Allocator:

• Partner with Buying and Planning Teams to develop initial distribution strategies
• Analyze selling patterns and distribute replenishment accordingly
• Strategize and maintain stock models to support and maximize sales, gross margin, gross margin return on investment and inventory turn goals
• Generate and present weekly recaps and make recommendations

Qualifications for the Junior Allocator: 

• Knowledge of Author/JDA Planning System
• Advanced Excel skills (VLookups, Pivot Tables)
• Strong analytical/mathematical skills - retail math experience a plus

Education Requirements:

• Bachelor's Degree in Business, Fashion or related field
