Jr. Associate Designer

Position Overview: Assist designer in all aspects of line development. Create detailed tech packs and ensures standards are passed in a timely manner to production team.

Responsibilities:

• Assist design team with creating and updating Illustrator sketches.
• Set-up fabrication & reference pages in Illustrator for tech packs.
• Set-up & adjust styles - input adjustments & create new styles in PLM.
• Create and pass tech packs in Adobe Acrobat Pro.
• Create & manage fabric and trim codes for costing & production tech packs (PLM)
• Pass all physical standards to production team with prints of necessary pages+ scans.
• Photograph and scan garments+ downloading to shared drive for tech packing.
• Maintain/organize line sheets with most updated information.
• Communicate with all cross-functional teams as needed.
• Responsible for determining all yields, fabric and trim information for pre-costing and/or costing.
• Responsible for hand off of accurate technical information to production team.
• Works closely with Associate Designer.
• Create visuals for market appointments.
• Assist Senior Designer with all aspects of design and development as needed.

Qualifications/Experience:

• Degree in Apparel/Textile related major
• Experience with the apparel design process from concept through to production
• Proficient in Excel and Adobe Creative Suite
• Proficient knowledge of fabrication/construction of garments.
• Strong organizational, time management and communication skills with the ability to prioritize the workload in order to meet all objectives.
• This position requires effective work relationships across multiple levels and functions.
• Ability to take direction and work cohesively under pressure in an environment of constant shifting priorities and change.
