INTERNSHIP, PRODUCTION - Full Time - Spring/Summer 2022

Contemporary Fashion label Retrofête is seeking a full-time fashion Production Intern to join their growing team.

Responsibilities

• Assist in day to day operations of the design and production teams.
• Accurately specing garments and logging them into tech packs.
• Exposure to creating and updating tech packs.
• Maintaining bulk approval, fabric and trim library.
• Observe the development process from design development to bulk production.
• Create packages for the team to be sent to factories and help track incoming packages.
• Maintain order of the design room.
• Fixing garments that are missing trims or sequins.
• Running errands to go to vendors or trim stores.
• Steam garments and organize design racks when necessary.

Requirements

• Must live in the New York City Metro area
• New graduates or current students are welcome.
• Strong willingness to learn and improve.
• Must be responsible, team-worker, reliable and have a positive and can-do attitude.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
• Professional, pleasant attitude, and proactive.
• Adaptability to handle multiple projects and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficient with Photoshop, Illustrator and Excel.
• Animal lover (we have an office puppy)
• Knowledge in embroidery and embellishment is a plus
