IMPORT / LOGISTICS ASSISTANT
Key responsibilities will include:
- Maintain Excel spreadsheets & status reports for all shipments
- Update internal systems with shipment details
- Work with Freight Forwarder to book, track and ensure arrival of shipments within the required time frame
- Communicate with factories to ensure bookings are made & shipments are handed over per the date
- Communicatee with customer on delivery updates & shipments issues, including giving air quotes
- Assist in the approval of import documentation for payment
- Computer data entry required
- This person will interact with multiple departments within the company
Qualifications:
- Excellent oral & written communication and computer skills needed, including Excel proficiency
- Ability to work independently and in a team
- Strong follow through with attention to details
- Strong problem solving skills
- 1-3 years experience in imports/logistics
Salary commensurate with experience
