Graphic Designer - 3+ Years Experience

Position Overview:

Ashley Stewart is looking for talented graphic/digital designer with fashion/retail experience to join our team. We seek designers who are passionate, self-motivated and eager to learn and share. Responsibilities include creating and pitching digital and print design concepts, lookbooks, social media graphics, affiliate advertising layouts, signage and packaging, while supporting the Senior Graphic Designer and the greater marketing team. This position must demonstrate innovative design solutions, solid comprehension of design principles, and an artistic sensibility towards typography, color, scale and composition. A fundamental requirement is to be able to build trust with their teams and key collaborators through communication, organization and self-sustainability.

Candidate Profile:

The Graphic Designer will be known as a positive, trusted, collaborative, organized, results-oriented leader and change agent who possesses professional maturity and industry credibility. The ideal candidate needs to be comfortable and effective leading in times of complexity. The ideal candidate will be known for a strong orientation towards speed.

The successful candidate will:

  • Have extensive knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite, especially InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, Bridge & Acrobat. After Effects and Premier are a plus.
  • Have excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to explain design decisions and influence partners.
  • Have an unmatched ability to multitask and execute quick turnarounds.
  • Maintain first-class organization of all working files and assigned communication.
  • Have intuition and an eye for fashion, pop culture, art, music, and design.
  • Take ownership of projects and make “company first” decisions.
  • Seek out innovative solutions to existing customer and/or company challenges.
  • Communicate with candor and value open debate to ensure the best ideas come to life.
  • Pay attention to detail, retain knowledge and put all learnings into practice.
  • Self-develop by participating in ongoing professional exploration and exercises.

Essential Functions:

  • Design and produce digital and print design concepts, website layouts, lookbooks, social media graphics, affiliate advertising layouts, signage and packaging.
  • Develop concepts and implement design strategies for creative and compelling templates and layout solutions for digital and print channels.
  • Maintain and enforce quality of digital design documents, ensuring they are accurate, error-free and meticulously organized.
  • Work independently with minimal supervision and make sound decisions, while maintaining open lines of communication during crucial project junctures.
  • Research social media, editorials, blogs, and key fashion sites to stay current on graphic trends.
  • Maintain work flow calendar to ensure that projects are planned and executed according to schedule.
  • Ability to take critiques with a positive attitude and follow through with creative direction.
  • Retouching of image content.
  • Regular, dependable attendance & punctuality.

Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of experience in graphic design, working under rigid deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Previous fashion experience preferred
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Graphic Design or equivalent.
