Freelance Wholesale Director - HYBRID

Title: Freelance Director of Wholesale – Footwear and Jewelry
Start: ASAP
End:  Ongoing (potential for perm)
Hours: FT
Location: NYC – Tuesday-Thursday Onsite / Mon & Fri WFH – except when they are preparing for market, then it would be 5 days a week onsite during market
Description:

  • This is a Director Level position. This person must have experience in footwear and jewelry sales
  • This person will be owning and driving North American Wholesale sales for footwear and jewelry categories

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for executing wholesale sales for Footwear and Jewelry – two new categories. Footwear launching in Fall 2024 and jewelry projected launch Q4 2024
  • Partner with Head of Planning for budget and forecast planning
  • Execute sales budgets and strategies to drive business in new and existing markets
  • Oversee distribution strategy and identify new growth opportunities for the brand
  • Deep understanding of the wholesale business across all accounts acting as the voice of wholesale for the company
  • Developing and managing retailer relationships and negotiations at DMM and Buyer level
  • Ensure optimum presentation in stores and e-com assets are available for timely go live for online
  • Obtain weekly/monthly data from accounts and analyze sell-outs. Use information to make recommendations on re-orders and future collections
  • Manage order maintenance; run reports to check orders, stock availability and account information
  • Obtain necessary authorizations to maintain order integrity (order confirmations, modifications, discounts, rtv/swaps, terms etc.)
  • Work closely with logistics, order entry and planning teams to monitor monthly shipping plan, ensure a timely delivery, and meet sales targets. Communicate with Senior leadership any material changes, shifts of risks within the monthly shipping target.
  • Provide timely recommendations to merchandising and design for wholesale specific business drivers.
  • Manage quarterly store outreach with in person or remote PK seminars, PAs or other in-store activities.
