FREELANCE MERCHANDISE ASSISTANT - $15-18/hr Contemporary Fashion Brand

This role is for an established contemporary fashion brand specializing in RTW! This exciting, fast-growing company is looking for a talented Freelance Merchandise Assistant to work in their corporate offices!

Salary/Hourly Rate:  $15-18/hr depending on experience

Position Overview:  The Freelance Merchandise Assistant will be working closely with the Merchandising and Buying Teams to set up new product options, create and monitor purchase orders, assist with the creation and distribution of weekly sales reports and more. This role requires communication with all cross functional teams and external partners.

Responsibilities of the Freelance Merchandise Assistant: 

• Understanding the market including competitive shopping and customer identification
• Manage daily and weekly sales reports through Excel
• Create and monitor purchase orders
• Maintain markdowns, markups and promotions
• Ability to communicate cross functionally with merchandising teams including shipping, tracking, and garment details
• Monitor relevant trends on the market to support the increase of sales
• Sample management- track, update and schedule all incoming and outgoing samples 

Qualifications for the Freelance Merchandise Assistant: 

• Strong communication and presentation skills
• Strong skills in Excel including Pivot Tables and V Lookups
• Ability to establish and foster relationships with partnering teams
• Ability to meet deadline demands
• Fashion/Retail or related experience preferred 

Education Requirements: 

• Bachelor’s Degree - or equivalent
