Freelance Designer - Juniors Apparel

A freelance Designer is needed for an apparel manufacturer that focuses on the juniors and missy apparel categories. This company is a well known private label brand based in Downtown LA. This role requires someone with at least 5 years’ experience in Crossover Junior- Missy. Cut and sew Fashion Tops & dresses.
 
Requirements:

• Creative designer with experience in women’s apparel.
• Trend research & Shopping on seasons we are working on.
• Design Concept thru completion; preparing line sheets, manage from proto style through pre-production
• Cads: illustrator, photoshop
• Create detailed flat sketches with construction callouts to pass to pattern/tech team
• Dedicated & organized
• Good communication skills and follow up
• Work directly with the art team to develop prints, recolor prints, embroideries, etc.
• Attend fittings and work with pattern maker on proto, fit samples, and production patternmakers.
• Approve all stages of design, lab dips, fabric, production quality, strike offs.
• Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including pattern makers, seamstresses, pre-production to ensure the integrity of the design.
• Attend photoshoots off site
• PLM

This is a 4-5 month temp position that is onsite 4 days/week, 1 day remote. Please send portfolio's to be considered.
