FIT TECHNICIAN / PRODUCT SPECIALIST - Local Candidates Only

We are currently looking for hardworking detailed-oriented, organized, and self-motivated FIT TECHNICIAN / PRODUCTION SPECIALIST.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Ensuring that tech-packs are clear & that styling/production instructions are reflected properly in production.
  • Ensuring that production timelines are met, and that ultimately the PO’s ship as expected, as per agreed PO EX dates.
  • Participate in fit review and utilize technical expertise by offering suggestions to improve fit by comparing the garment sample to the requested specs, sketch, tech pack, and approved showroom sales sample.
  • Prepare fit specifications comments – approve or reject garments on daily basis, issue graded specs for nal production when approved to ensure that garments meet company standards.
  • Prepare, record, and send comments & corrections to overseas suppliers; namely fit / spec / styling / wash details.
  • Ensures all DESIGN approvals are sent on time to suppliers; including bulk fabric, trimmings, washes, lab dips, etc.
  • Ensure that the products adequately meet the quality standards established by the company at all times.
  • Assist the design team to create tech packs during the peak season.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Diploma in Fashion Design > + 5 years’ experience in a same position in an import environment.
  • Knowledge of Fit and spec patternmaking, grading, construction and fit.
  • Working knowledge of fabric and garment construction is a must.
  • Strong sketching and illustration skills. w/ strong attention to detail.
  • Knowledge of Adobe Illustrator.
  • Must have a good knowledge of Microsoft Office, namely Outlook & MS Excel.
  • Ability to multitask and work with strict deadlines.
  • Organized and proactive individual.
