Overview

Job Title:            Field Visual Manager- Retail

Department:      Walmart Account  Management and Training

Reports to:         Visual District Manager or Visual Manager - Retail

Location:            Grand Rapids, MI

Status:                Full-time

Salary:               $50,000-$60,000

Job Summary

The Field Visual Manager will ensure that the implementation of visual initiatives directed by Winston and the retailer in apparel is being executed consistently across all locations. In addition, the Field Visual Manager will support the Visual Merchandiser on in-store execution for each store within their region. The role will onboard and train the Visual Merchandiser and review daily store visit reports and photos of work executed.


Responsibilities

Job Duties

Execution of store objectives.

  • Editor in chief and reviewer of daily SVRs (Store Visit Reports).
  • Assist in the preparation of monthly client recaps to monitor the progress.
  • Demonstrate Winston’s execution and consistency of focus across assigned stores.
  • Support the Lead Visual Merchandiser to ensure that talent is on-boarded successfully.
  • Train and develop the Lead Visual Merchandiser to think strategically on work a day plan.

Provide coaching and virtual training to all on-floor merchandisers.  

  • Ensure SVRs/Photos are to the Winston standard for client review and coach the field team to raise the communication standard and merchandising abilities by providing coaching and feedback to the field team consistently.
  • Utilize and strengthen the Store Visit Report/Photo process to visualize and communicate results.
  • Coach and train the Lead Visual Merchandisers to ensure they have an expert-level command of the client’s merchandising guidelines.
  • Support Lead Visual Merchandiser on visual execution questions with a positive, professional, solution-oriented approach.
  • Build relationships and work on opportunities and suggestions with store management to enhance the consumer experience.

On-floor merchandising execution. (Approximately 2-3 visits per month) 

  • Support the Lead Visual Merchandiser on the retail floor to ensure merchandising guidelines are correctly executed in select locations only.
  • Ensure Branding/POS signage and on-floor initiatives are executed on the selling floor.
  • Ensure the retail floor shows a compelling visual presentation

 


Qualifications

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, verbal and written.
  • Excellent and proven training, coaching, and presentation.
  • People management, development and assessment resulting in a strong team.
  • Visual merchandising talent and top-level merchandise coordinator expertise.
  • Computer skills including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Internet, Email, the ability to master our field visit report/photo reporting system and utilize digital photography.
  • Strong independent work ethic and business acumen.
  • Ability to adjust to change regularly and quickly.
  • Motivated by working with a variety of brands, categories, and retailers.
  • Proven organizational and time management skills.
Education and Experience
  • 3-5 years of retail, wholesale or branded apparel experience
  • BA/BS Degree or Fashion/Merchandising Degree
  • Previous work as a retail coordinator or regional at an apparel company, preferred
