Technical Designer - Children's Wear

petitclair.com a boutique childrens clothing brand is looking for an experienced, organized designer with a passion for fashion and a creative approach to design. Our collection spans babies to teens and including dress wear, everyday wear, and outerwear. Our brand is sophisticated, modest, and on‐trend.

Primary Responsibilities

• Ability to communicate effectively and accurately with internal resources as well as overseas vendors
• Keen sense and knowledge of different fabrics and trimmings
• Prepare technical packages based on fit meetings to deliver accurate measurements to factories in a timely fashion
• Adhere to establishing fit, construction, and all standards by producing accurate specification tech packs including correct sketch details, base size specifications, grading, construction, and packaging details
• Responsible for completed design cads, line sheets, & tech packs with detailed measurements and construction instructions
• Follow up on all communication with overseas factories through development
• Approval of fittings, lab dips, strike offs and other submissions
• Organize and prioritize workload to meet all deadlines accordingly

Requirements

• High attention to detail and precision-focused
• 3 + years of technical experience
• Working knowledge of garment construction
• Proficient in Illustrator, Photoshop, Microsoft Office
• Strong English language skills, both written and verbal.
• Positive attitude and strong work ethic are a must.
• Bachelor’s degree in Fashion Design
