Job Description – Fabric Purchasing
Job Summary:
Fabric Purchasing associate will be a purchasing agent for fabrics used in our production line. They will work with Production and Design departments to plan fabric purchases and prepare purchase orders.
Duties:
- Review and prepare fabric content/specifications, lead times, and bill of materials for each season
- Collate information for fabric projections, purchases and issue po’s
- Coordinate fabric testing for duplicate and productions goods
- Review and approve fabric shrink test results
- Work with vendors to negotiate fabric prices and lead times and to resolve any issues
- Work with pattern makers to provide fabric, fabric information, and fabric issues
- Review fabric quality and specifications
- Prioritize cutting schedules
Qualifications:
- Computer proficiency
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Access)
- Attention to detail
- Great organizational skills
- Great time management skills
- This is a full-time position; associate will be required to work 40 hours a week
