DIRECTOR OF PRODUCTION - $100-$500K - (Relocation to Miami, FL)

Luxury Women's Ready to Wear Designer is seeking an experienced Production Manager to oversee the brand’s manufacturing process domestically and overseas. You will be ultimately responsible for the smooth running of all production lines while maintaining the brands’s quality, aesthetics and standards.  We expect you to have deep knowledge and experience in production procedures. Ability to direct personnel towards maximum performance will set you apart as a leader. The goal is to ensure an efficient and productive manufacturing process that meets customer time sensitive requirements.  

  • Relocation to Miami:  Relocation packages included 
  • Salaray Range :$100.000-$500,000 depending qualifcations

Job Tasks/Duties are include but not limited to as follows:  

Pre-Production

  • Create cost Sheets for new collection by season -Sales Review/ Analysis to set projections/placing orders, exclusives, etc
  • Coordinate sample requests with sales
  • Line Review by season: Fabric and Trim

 Oversee Purchasing Department: 

  • Create report of fabrics by vendor/style to place orders
  • Assist Purchaser in negotiation w/ all suppliers for best price/delivery
  • Follow up on all POs on daily communications /weekly meeting basis
  • Monitor quality samples and lab dip approval process 
  • Maintain and build vendor relationship 
  • Sourcing: guide purchaser for re-sourcing developments 
  • Setup factory audits/inspections when needed
  • Assist in coordination and follow up with brokerage and logistics
  • Assist in reconciliation of accounts  

PP Development: 

  • Monitor productivity of Tech team to ensure timely turnover of TPs upon fitting completion
  • Follow up with factories and vendors for timely execution of corrections and samples
  • Proactive evaluation of comments to offer new finishes and meet or surpass quality standards
  • Keep accurate inventory of basic fabrics linings needed to ensure we always have yardage for PPs   

Production:

  • Book capacity with factories for upcoming production by creating and maintaining monthly WIP of all styles (PP-Bulk) by season 
  • Evaluate all factories to determine strengths, weaknesses etc. 
  • Bring new factories into schedule that meet criteria and quality standards
  • Manage overseas production with daily communication/updates with factories for issues/concerns/dates/shipments
  • Oversee Asia QA team and their scheudules
  • Negotiate pricing/delivery dates with factories
  • Monitor PPS approvals ensuring factory provides in timely manner
  • Evaluate cut reports based on confirmed consumptions
  • Maintain a constant supervision on quality standards of style though-out sewing process. From TOP approval to in-line sewing, and final inspection review after QC completion. 
  • Proactive problem solving of daily issues to provide management with immediate solutions to prevent delays 
  • Planning of distribution of cut tickets/major store requirements with Miami Production Assistant
  • Review and confirm all garment basics updated/ordered by factory: (care labels/labels/tags/special price tickets)
  • Weekly review of OTS by season with Production Assistant to assure books are checked/balanced

Inventory Control:

  • Keep updated log of production yields
  • Implement marker approval prior to cutting to ensure fabric usage is efficient 
  • Monitor factory is in accordance with Manufacturing Agreement and Vendor Manual 
  • Direct weekly production meeting
  • Submit weekly production bills
  • Setup and review inspections and reports prior to shipping  
  • Coordinate and follow up with brokerage and logistics
  • Provide sales with updated ship calendars and ETA -Sales Meetings: review concerns on delivery/RAs/sell throughs    

Job Requirements: 10+ Years experience    

  • High level of complex technical problem solving  
  • Impeccable time management skills with great sense of urgency  
  • Ability to manage timely but effective meetings to ensure thorough communication within departments
  • Maintain daily communication with internal and external teams to ensure production is on schedule
  • Ensure execution of design and fit intent into bulk production while maintaining brand aesthetics and quality standards
  • Develop and maintains fit protocol and standards for brand
  • Protect brand integrity through fit continuity
  • Drive for continual improvement and innovation to enhance product quality, and process effectiveness.
  • Encourage team atmosphere within area and across product categories; fosters open communication and team environment with all business partners; receives constructive feedback professionally.
