DESIGNER

(Hourly Pay range: $25-30 DOE / 40 hours a week)

This position is a work in office role (Mid-Town NYC)

In this role, there is room for growth within a long standing & globally reputable Asia based apparel vendor. Our New York office operates as a remote satellite branch & we are looking for eager talent to grow with us in a fast-paced corporate environment.

Qualifications:

4-5 years’ experience
BFA in Apparel Design or equivalent field of study
Proficient in Illustrator, Photoshop + Microsoft Word, Excel & PowerPoint
Knowledge or willingness to learn 3D sketch/sample platforms to support the NY & HQ teams.
Must have a basic understanding of garment construction.
Must be flexible, versatile with the ability to multi-task and manage deadlines.
Understanding of mid & mass market retail markets and customers.

Roles & Responsibilities:

Analyze, report and present emerging up to date trends within and across the US and European markets.
Perform in-store retail visits to assess seasonal floor transitions & shop new product (within NYC metro & NJ markets)
Oversee execution of tech packs for sampling including sketching, fabric information, trims, art sheets & spec details.
Attend and present in meetings with customers and overseas teams.
Maintain overall organization to the office space.
