DESIGNER / MERCHANDISER

Womenswear brand is looking for a highly analytical and detail-obsessed Designer /Merchandise Manager with at least 6 years of relevant work experience to manage a team and create an exciting and timely product assortment for retail.

A successful candidate will have a keen sense of anticipation and the ability to see around corners.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Understanding the retail and wholesale calendar and ability to maximize efficiency of calendar for retail, direct and wholesale business.
• Understand trend analysis and translate trend to big ideas with the ability to identify the next big thing.
• Present pre-season strategy to cross-functional teams.
• Analyze seasonal and hindsight information, trends, product assortment, and competition to develop the strategy.
• Design and provide feedback on concepts, board reviews, silhouettes, fabric, and color based on seasonal and annual hindsight.
• Utilize product strategies and analytical results to plan all merchandise buys, in accordance to budget, for each quarter and present the line at assortment and investment reviews. Work with sales and buyers on product focus and goals by account
• Analyze sales, market, consumer, and competitor data to inform line decisions and strategies.
• Create seasonal line plans and assortments based on consumer trends and account needs.
• Expereinced in Adobe Suite, able to sketch designs and create CADs for sales
