Designer - Junior Sweaters / Athleisure and Wovens

JUNIOR DESIGNER

Fast Paced company is seeking a junior designer to be the creative force for a newly licensed well known junior brand. Must be highly motivated, communicative, and committed. Must be able to conceptualize and develop seasonal collections across many catagories such as cut and sew, sweaters, athleisure and wovens.

Applicant must have minimum five years experience as a designer/product person.

Ideal candidate should be able to work independently and also with a team.

Job Requirements:

• Minimum FIVE years’ experience in Junior Market
• Must have exceptional/fast sketching ability in Illustrator
• Exceptional knowledge of Adobe illustrator and Photoshop
• Must be able to develop Design tech packs and be familiar with Junior market specs.
• Strong Design, Color and conceptual skills
• Strong organizational skills
• Creative thinker
• Attention to Details
• Excellent verbal and communication skills.
• Bachelors degree in fashion 

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to :

• Research trends and shopping _ International travel may be required
• Executing product-International travel may be required.
• Create and develop tech packs
• Sketching garments in illustrator
• Create mood boards
• Filling sketches with prints and solids
• Manage lab dip and trim comments
• Email and communicate with overseas vendors
• Assist in the creation of all design materials, swatches, color cards.
