DESIGNER / GRAPHIC ARTIST - Newborn / Infant Baby Accessories

Leading Children’s Wear Company in NYC is seeking a Designer and/or an Artist/Designer to join their Newborn and Infants team.

The Designer will help design newborn/infant accessories as well as baby clothing. Some key items include Bibs, Blankets, Dolls, Socks and much more.

Responsibilities:

• Attend merchandise meetings with Design Director and Merchandiser

• Create and update tech packs for new products and send to factories

• Provide support on strike-off and lab dip comments

• Measure and evaluate Fit and Preproduction Samples

• Supply Sales team with sketches and CAD work

• Assist Design Director in communications with our Private Label customers

• Print development

• CAD development

• Research trends

• Communicate and work closely with Design Director to provide full support

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Fashion Design or related field

• Previous Newborn/Infant design experience preferred

• Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite and Microsoft Office programs

• Strong multitasker with excellent time management skills

• Effective communicator with excellent interpersonal skills

Salary: $60-75K
