DESIGNER / GRAPHIC ARTIST - Children's Apparel, Sleepwear and Basics

Leading Children’s Wear Company in NYC is seeking a Designer and/or an Artist/Designer to join their team.

The Designer will help design Boys and Girls Apparel, Sleepwear/Underwear from size ranges 12 months through 16.

Responsibilities:

• Attend merchandise meetings with Design Director and Merchandiser

• Create and update tech packs for new products and send to factories

• Provide support on strike-off and lab dip comments

• Measure and evaluate Fit and Preproduction Samples

• Supply Sales team with sketches and CAD work

• Assist Design Director in communications with our Private Label customers

Responsibilities:

• Print development

• CAD development

• Research trends

• Communicate and work closely with Design Director to provide full support

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Fashion Design or related field

• 3-5 years of experience

• Previous children’s Sleepwear/Underwear design experience preferred

• Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite and Microsoft Office programs

• Strong multitasker with excellent time management skills

• Effective communicator with excellent interpersonal skills

Salary: $60,000 - 75,000
