Designer - Contemporary Women's Casual Tops

We are a fast-growing designer and manufacturer of women’s apparel. We are looking for a motivated and talented designer to join our team. Candidate should be well versed in both woven and knit fabrications.

Skills and Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Fashion Design
• At least 8+ years of design experience in Women’s Woven and Cut & Sew Casual Tops
• Design experience in dresses is a plus
• Must have advanced skills in Photoshop and Illustrator
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel
• Ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks to meet strict deadlines in a fast-paced work environment
• Must be a team player as well as able to work independently
• Highly organized and detail oriented
• Positive and professional attitude

Job Responsibilities

• Identify new trends, innovations, opportunities, and lead the creation of seasonal design concepts to final product
• Must have experience in the build out of a balanced and merchandised line
• Provide reliable and responsible support to the Design Director
• Assist in sourcing new fabrics for each season
• Draw accurate flat sketches and detailed sketches for season presentation and technical packages
• Attend fit sessions
• Day to day upkeep of filing and organization
• Tracking and following up on sample development charts to ensure that they are produced correctly and on time
• Assist in preparing showrooms for presentation to buyers
• Shop local markets for inspiration

Salary

• $85,000+ benefits commensurate with experience
