Job Title: Denim Designer

Responsibilities:

• Will work closely with Design Director on concept, color, trend of line.
• Actively participates in the design of new denim styles from inception to completion
• Maintain a strong knowledge of market trends and competition
• Work with multiple Collection teams to execute the denim pieces to be integrated into their seasonal lines.
• Create Sketches in Illustrator/Photoshop
• Create tech packs for overseas sampling
• Maintain accurate and up to date line sheets
• Attend fit sessions and make comments on overall fit and aesthetic of garments
• Develop and maintain good relationships with overseas vendor, communicating daily on sample development and sourcing
• Develop strong cross functional relationships with Sales, Production, and Technical Design to ensure the best product and a smooth transition into production
• Ensure design calendar deadlines are met
• Meet with fabric vendors for fabric selection
• Maintain an up-to-date fabric and wash library

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Fashion or Textile Design
• Must have 4+ years of Fashion experience
• Strong knowledge of Denim fabrics and wash capabilities
• Current on technology trend within the Denim landscape
• Must be able to build relationships through effective communication with cross-functional teams
• Ability to work in a fast paced environment while maintaining a high level of quality and accuracy
• Ability to analyze work load and plan accordingly
• Exceptional follow-up skills
• PLM experience a plus

Salary: $90,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year
