Assistant Technical Designer

Full Time Assistant Technical Designer

Assistant Technical Designer Overview: As the Assistant Technical Designer, you will manage all aspects of technical design to ensure accuracy of product measurements, quality, construction, and fit.

Description:

  • Accurately measuring Fit/PP/TOP samples.
  • Participate in fit sessions with the team and capture feedback by taking notes during fittings.
  • Responsible for the execution of the fit comments and calling out any construction/workmanship issues to be addressed.
  • Provide feedback on fit, fabrics, and trims to ensure target aesthetics are being met, while maintaining target costs.
  • Support on creating Development, Costing and Production tech packs for vendors to submit samples.
  • Ensure all corrections have been made at the pre-production sample stage to secure the fit for production.
  • Provide vendors with grading in order to expedite production, while maintaining in house/private label standards.
  • Assist with organizing samples and fabrics.
  • Builds collaborative relationships with cross-functional partners including design, merchandising, and sales.
  • Working with Private label accounts to achieve desired fit.

 Requirements:

  • Fashion Design or Fashion Merchandising Student or recent Graduate
  • 1-2 years of experience in Juniors/Women’s apparel
  • Knowledge of sewing construction, patternmaking, garment manufacturing, and fabrics.
  • Proficient in Excel
  • Attention to detail, sense of urgency, willingness to learn, team-player
  • Solid communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment

Education:

  • Bachelor's/Associate’s (Preferred)

Schedule (On Site):

  • Full Time
  • 9:00am – 5:00pm or 10:00am – 6:00pm
