ASSOCIATE DESIGNER

We have an outstanding opportunity for an Associate Designer in our corporate office/design studio in Chatsworth, California. Responsibilities

  • Work directly with designers and execute all development milestones
  • Set up all new products for costing and development, track trim sourcing on our PLM systems, and continue to track until merchandise is released
  • Keep records of each style in an organized and methodical way
  • Create line sketches in Illustrator and update silhouette library as needed
  • Collaborate with the team to ensure all information reflects layouts and products selected by our accounts
  • Edit and create line sheets
  • Work directly with the Merchandising Team to accomplish daily rushes
  • Assign calendar to every collection
  • Provide additional support to the team as needed
  • General filing and administrative projects

Requirements

  • At least three years of apparel industry experience with extensive administrative skills
  • Proficient in Adobe Illustrator, Creative Suite, PLM, Microsoft Word, Power Point, and Excel,
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Detail-minded, proactive, and team-oriented with proven ability multi-task, follow-up, and coordinate work from beginning to finalization
  • Solid organizational and analytical skills
  • Excellent knowledge of fabric, trim, and garment construction
  • Full understanding of the design development cycle
  • Highly deadline-oriented with an ability to adhere to cross-functional calendar
