Assistant Designer

A US-based apparel design and manufacturing company with a strong international presence. With robust product development capabilities complemented by a keen understanding of trend, our company produces apparel across its own proprietary labels and under license.

We are seeking a talented Assistant Designer with a great eye for color, responsible, accurate, proactive, easy to work with and willing to learn and grow every day. The Assistant Designer will assist in the development of all categories from concept to production for our brand account.

Responsibilities include (but are not limited to):

• Assist in maintaining all records and follow up on the brand line to stay on calendar.
• Assist in design inspiration and development servicing our private label accounts.
• Daily communication with support staff and overseas partners.
• Sample coordination, tracking and requests.
• Develop tech packets for protos.
• Maintain meticulous sample, fabric, and sweater files.
• Assist in researching brand and price appropriate yarn and fabric.
• Assist in trend and color research.
• Shop and report current retail.

Qualifications:

• 0-2 years’ experience in knits and woven coordinated sportswear experience
• Reports directly to the Senior Designer.
• Must be proficient in all Adobe and MS Office Suite.
