Assistant Fashion Designer

Work for an iconic fashion brand!

Role: Assists the design team in the creative execution of the product. Must be fast in working in Illustrator to create sketches, linesheets and CAD’s. Must be comfortable working in Excel to create tech packs. Completes and coordinate design details for product development with technical design team.

Responsibilities

• Assists the Senior Designer in developing the line, doing technical sketches, tach packs, line sheets, CAD’s
• Develops presentation boards and other tools needed for milestone meetings.
• Assists in preparations for Color & Concept, Line Presentation, and other presentation meetings.
• Assists with selection for all trims for development and follows up with production.

Qualifications

Education/Experience Required: 

• Apparel or fashion design degree.
• 1-2 years’ experience in apparel design. This is a MUST
• Working knowledge of garment construction and measurements.
• Proficient in Adobe Illustrator, Excel, Word.
