ASSISTANT DESIGNER - Boys 8-20 - Outerwear / Swimwear

PURPOSE:

Immediate opportunity for creative, highly motivated, organized and detail oriented assistant designer to support to design team on all aspects of product life cycle from concept to final development. This is Perm role and requires working on-site in midtown Manhattan.

RESPONSIBLITIES & QUALIFICATIONS:

• The ideal candidate needs 0-1 yr experience in the apparel industry
• Must have strong illustrator and Photoshop computer skills
• Provide administrative support from concept to design to final development of  Boy's Outerwear and swimwear classifications
• Assist with the preparation of presentation boards for seasonal milestone meetings
• Prepare detailed technical packages and sample management
• Attend fit sessions and review lab lips with Supervisor
• Keen eye for color, trend and construction of garment
• Ability to multi-task and meet deadlines; highly detail oriented, meticulous and creative
