ASSISTANT DESIGN / TECH DESIGN - Women's Denim

Morrison Denim is seeking a passionate and detail-oriented Part-Time Assistant Designer/Technical Designer to join our team. As a brand deeply rooted in the rich history and culture of denim, we are dedicated to crafting high-quality, innovative denim pieces that embody the American spirit. The ideal candidate will assist our design director in ensuring impeccable fit, quality, and administrative management within our design department.

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with the design/product development team to execute garment measuring and input specifications into tech packs.
  • Attend fittings, meticulously documenting fit notes to ensure precise garment construction.
  • Create detailed construction sketches to accurately represent design concepts.
  • Effectively communicate with vendors and factories regarding packages and specifications.
  • Publish comprehensive fit lists to streamline production processes.
  • Coordinate and schedule fittings with model agencies and internal teams as needed.
  • Demonstrate flexibility to support various team projects and responsibilities as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • In-depth knowledge of garment construction across woven, knits, sweaters, and denim product categories.
  • Minimum of 1+ years of experience in apparel design or apparel technical design within the fashion industry.
  • Proficiency in communication, both written and verbal, with strong interpersonal skills.
  • Advanced computer skills including Illustrator, Word, and Excel are essential.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with a keen sense of urgency.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize workload and meet strict deadlines.

Salary: Dependent On Experience
