APPAREL TECHNICAL DESIGN MANAGER - Western Wear / Rock & Roll Denim

Dallas-Fort Worth based Westmoor Manufacturing Co., makers of Panhandle Western Wear and Rock & Roll Denim, is seeking a high energy individual with an expert knowledge of Apparel Technical Design, Patternmaking, Grading, Construction, Sewing, Fit, Quality Control, as well as experience in apparel production.  

OVERVIEW of POSITION

• Technical Design Manager manages Technical Design Staff in generating tech packs with Design Department, while overseeing mens and ladies woven/knit shirt and jean production while working with Merchandising, Design and Import Departments to ensure quality, specs, fit and timely deliveries.

• Manages staff that performs Quality and Fit inspection of production samples and assists in inspections overseas where applicable, analyzing samples and checking style/construction with product tech packs.

• Assists in negotiation and resolution of any construction quality and delivery issues.

• Assists with Import and Merchandising Departments in placement of production coherent with company sourcing strategy.

• Assists in creation of time and action calendars for all programs.

QUALIFICATIONS

• 5 to 7 years of relevant Apparel Technical Design experience.

• Must be detail oriented with strong follow through including organization and priority skills.

• Experience working with Asian factories and Agents, including traveling to Asia.

• Computer knowledge – Photoshop, Illustrator, Gerber PDS and Excel
