ACCOUNT EXECUTIVE, Women's

Position Summary:

Responsible for managing, maintaining, and growing major account base and better independent stores

What you can expect:

Responsibilities:

  • Maintain strong relationships with key retail accounts
  • Communicate constantly with buying teams to discuss all aspects of business – profitability, monthly purchase orders, business opportunities, production issues, specific market needs, re-orders, basics, door strategy, etc.
  • Generate and analyze selling reports for department stores – weekly/monthly deep dive into business to analyze sales trends, style selling and by-door selling in order to forecast problems, capitalize on opportunities, and maintain profitability
  • Monitor business to ensure that all accounts adhere to seasonal markdown cadences and finalize all EOS Margin Agreements within your business where applicable – a strong knowledge of retail math is a must
  • Partner with Director and Sales Manager on a daily / weekly basis to discuss business overview, challenges, and opportunities
  • Frequent travel both Internationally (Germany for product meetings) and Domestically (store visits and seminars)
  • Communicate regularly with managers and specialists to monitor feedback from the floor.  
  • Conduct frequent selling seminars, workshops and in-store events across the country to help drive sales at retail and to educate teams of merchandise features, quality, fashion trends, and Hugo Boss direction
  • Partner with the sales team to set up the showroom for market – price cards, organize samples, engage in collection previews in order to familiarize ourselves with the collection
  • Possess a strong knowledge of product and be able to present compelling sales strategies to customers
  • Conduct market appointments with majors, mid majors, specialty stores to show and sell the line, both in showroom and on the road if necessary - follow up with copies/swatches and ensure orders are entered timely to promote on-time deliveries
  • Enter pre-orders into SAP system for current selling season; suggest swaps if needed in the case of sell-outs
  • Work with Design Team on product development and complete Collection Feedback after each market to ensure specific needs for each account are met
  • Work with Manager and planning team to forecast and plan business for the future.
  • Entertain and build client relationships by hosting events and dinners.
  • Cold Call specialty stores for upcoming markets; open new business
  • Generate RTV’s for specialty stores and department stores as needed
  • Utilize BIS and SAP to create shipping projections by account and ensure monthly shipping targets are met
  • Track all orders and work with production team to project when orders will deliver
Your profile:

Qualifications:

  • BS College Degree (preferably in Business or Fashion Merchandising)
  • 5+ years of proven sales experience in Women’s Apparel (preferably in Sportswear)
  • Keen understanding of the department store business and how to analyze the business with “retail math” (i.e., VMT reports, sell through, on-hands, inventory, and margin)
  • Excellent speaking / presentation skills
  • Excellent computer skills with an emphasis on Microsoft Excel and SAP
