Account Executive - Department Stores

A contemporary women's clothing line is looking for an experienced department store account executive to join our New York showroom.

Applicants are required to obtain an understanding of the advanced contemporary fashion market, as well as a working knowledge of major department stores. 

Responsibilities include:

• Meet and exceed sales goals on a monthly, quarterly, and yearly basis
• Strengthen and build existing relationships with current account base as well as targeting new accounts
• Maintain weekly selling sheets to monitor and analyze sales by style and by customer
• Analyze customer purchase histories and current sales records to identify sales trends and suggest potential actions
• Track and update regularly the status of POs
• Monitor market trends and identify future business opportunities and profitability
• Contribute to and create presentations and line sheets for market
• Contribute positively to team dynamic and manage up where necessary 

Skills and Requirements:

• Knowledge of Retail Math
• Superior organizational skills and excellent communication skills; team oriented and outgoing
• Ability to multi-task and meet deadlines; highly detail oriented and meticulous
• Willingness to travel to branch stores for product knowledge (have a current registered driver’s license)
• Proactive self-starter who needs little direction
• 2-3 years related experience in wholesale apparel sales
• Bachelor's Degree preferred
