Human Resources Financial Controller

This role will lead business planning and financial analytics for HR to improve accuracy and effectiveness of Company policies and programs. Responsible for overseeing headcount management across the Americas, including management and reconciliation of regional headcoun

PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

HR Systems/Finance:

  • Manage the effective use of HRIS (Success Factors), Payroll (ADP) and HR Finance (Tagetik) activities and other interrelated systems
  • Conducts month-end close, quarterly forecast and budget processing, including Americas headcount management
  • Conducts ongoing audits to ensure budget, month end and forecast aligns for the HR budget and Americas headcount
  • Prepare headcount and employee cost reports for executive management review, in collaboration with HR leadership and HR Business Partner
  • Delivers employee related financial reports and partners with the finance team on; including changes, updates, payroll, taxes and year-end
  • Partners closely with Regional and Headquarters Finance teams on all HR related Finance activities and needs, including benefits invoice payment and reconciliation
  • Acts as subject matter expert on all internal systems and Hire to Retire processes, assessing existing procedures, identifying areas of efficiencies and implementing where appropriate
  • Lead regional systems integration projects (HRIS/Payroll/Benefits, etc.) in partnership with HQ 

Compensation:

  • Partner closely with Headquarters and third-party vendors to benchmark and identify industry and market trends and provide competitive benefit programs that support the company's goals
  • Provide advice on pay decisions, policy and guideline interpretation and job evaluation (FLSA) including the design of creative solutions to specific compensation-related programs
  • Manage the administration of direct compensation (executive, exempt and nonexempt compensation programs) for all employees including the processing, recording and reporting of compensation-related actions taken on employees
  • Prepares annual bonus and commission plan templates, including terms and conditions for payment; works with senior management to modify plan structure as business needs dictate, and modifies terms and conditions sheets to ensure compliance with plan structure
  • Coordinates and leads annual salary review pool process; researches market for merit data, makes recommendation to senior management, ensures changes are uploaded into appropriate systems; develops and ensures delivery of reward letters
  • Ensures compliance with FLSA regulations; works with HR staff and managers to create job descriptions, analyzes job functions for clarity and determines exemption status; maintains master file of job descriptions for the company

 Additional Responsibilities:

  • Coaches, develops and manages the performance of direct reports
  • Performs additional duties as assigned

 POSITION REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor's degree in human resources, finance, business or related field
  • 7 years progressive compensation and benefits experience including 2-3 years leadership experience
  • Certified Compensation Professional (CCP) designation, or CBP (Certified Benefits Professional) preferred
  • Experience with SuccessFactors or similar Human Capital Management system
  • Experience with Tagetik, or similar HR Finance system, including but not limited to SAP
  • Demonstrated proficiency in laws and regulations governing benefits including Affordable Care Act, ERISA, HIPAA, IRS regulations, Section 125, and COBRA
  • Demonstrated proficiency in laws and regulations governing compensation including FLSA and Title VII
  • Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, with particular strength in Excel
  • Demonstrated successful ability to build positive relationships and partnerships across the organization
  • Excellent organizational skills, including ability to multi-task and prioritize workload
  • Ability to think strategically with supporting analytical skills
  • Ability to work with mathematical concepts
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to interact with all levels of the organization
  • Must have ability to manage projects, work independently, and communicate effectively to all areas and levels of the organization
  • Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information
