Assistant Designer for Young Contemporary line

Fast growing young contemporary company seeks enthusiastic, motivated, detail-oriented and organized Assistant designer.

Job description and Duties:

• The candidate will work close with Designer on every aspect of developing collections. Follow up with the product development and design process to include preparation of technical packages and presentation boards, email correspondence, etc.
• Follow up with oversea for sample development schedule.
• Create flat sketches based on direction of the designer
• Create technical flat drawings of garments
• Maintaining design development folders
• Responsible for creating line sheets
• Coordinate and sending showroom samples.

Requirements

• College Degree in Fashion Design
• At least 2 years of experience in Fashion industry (may include summer jobs, internships, etc)
• Strong computer knowledge in Excel, Illustrator, Photoshop
• Must have knowledge of fabric and garment construction, able to create detail TP base on image or sketch.
